Privacy
CrateKeeper runs this website and makes the CrateKeeper app for Mac. If you have a question about your information, write to hello@getcratekeeper.com.
The website
What we collect
When you join the beta list we collect your email address. If you answer the optional setup questions, we collect your answers too. The services that receive the forms also record ordinary technical details, such as the time and your IP address.
The site uses no analytics, no advertising, no tracking cookies and no session recording. Its fonts are served from this site, not from a third party.
Why
To send you what you signed up for: beta invitations and news about CrateKeeper. Your setup answers help us plan and test the beta, for example which Macs and Serato versions to test on. And to reply when you write to us.
Who handles it for us
- Netlify hosts this website and receives the signup and setup forms, along with ordinary connection details like your IP address.
- MailerLite runs our mailing list. It receives your email address, not your setup answers. Like most email services, it may record whether our emails are opened and which links are clicked.
- Apple iCloud Mail carries email you send to hello@getcratekeeper.com.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Your email address stays on our list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Setup answers are deleted when the beta ends. Emails you send us are kept as long as we need them to help you.
Leaving the list, and deleting your information
Every mailing-list email has an unsubscribe link. To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, write to hello@getcratekeeper.com and we'll do it. We may keep your address on a do-not-email list so we don't email you again.
The app
CrateKeeper does not upload your music or video files, and it does not upload your library. It reads your library on your own Mac, and changes it only when you confirm each change.
The app goes online for two things:
- Update checks. It downloads a small file from getcratekeeper.com to see whether a newer version exists. If you choose to update, it downloads the new version from the same site. Nothing about you or your library is added to the request. Our host receives ordinary connection details, like your IP address.
- License checks. It downloads a list of withdrawn licenses from getcratekeeper.com. Your license key is checked on your Mac and is never sent.
AI features run on your Mac. On Macs that support Apple Intelligence, Ask your library and Build a set can use Apple's on-device model. What you type stays on your Mac. Where the on-device model isn't available, those features work without it.
The app has no analytics. Settings has an option for anonymous usage counts; nothing is sent today, and this page will say so before that ever changes.
Children
CrateKeeper is made for working DJs. It isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has signed up, write to us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If what we collect or how we use it changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
